One thing that has prevented many people from receiving godly success is “vain glory” – a desire to promote and honor yourself, your reputation, talents, intellectual attainments, to win human praise..
Here are some examples –
1. You want to take the lead because you “usually lead” even though God has not called you to lead a particular project. If you can’t lead, you don’t want to be part of it.
2. You are a speaker but won’t accept invitations to events unless you are the main or guest speaker. Afterall, you can speak too, right?
3. It’s all about you and showcasing your capabilities, intellect, skills and everything else that comes with being you. It’s all about you or nothing.
Want to march forward?
Get rid of vain glorious strategies and take the focus off self. Be humble. Adopt a teachable spirit. Desire godly success and see what happens.
