Why I Wrote My Book “You Can Be Set Free”

When you read “You Can Be Set Free,” you will learn how to use the SEVEN keys that will unleash you from everything that has been holding you back so that you can live your life again and be happy.

In coaching, ministering and helping people discover their purpose, I have seen that fear, low self-esteem, insecurity and many issues are so rife that people just don’t bother to take a leap of faith to emancipate themselves.

Personally, I had my own issues and I immediately saw that for me to be victorious and enjoy this blessed life, certain changes had to be made. I applied these principles and strategies and realized that the way I was managing my life was going to drain me. I wrote about this experience on iemancipateme.com.

As a result, I wrote You Can Be Set Free to help you apply the strategies and reclaim your joy. I divided the book into two parts. Part One reveals the excuses people make, and Part Two shows the strategies to address and overcome those excuses and hindrances.

Some of The Usual Excuses:
I’m Not Good Enough
I’m Bone Tired and Can’t Continue
It’s My Fault So I Have To Remain Here
I’m Not Ready To Let Go
I’m Scared!
I Cannot Wait Anymore and I Quit!
I Don’t Have Courage
I’m Too Old!

Recently, I listened to Bishop Jakes being interviewed on HuffPost Live about his new book, “Instinct” and he said:

“I’m not afraid of death. I’m afraid of not living.” – @BishopJakes now on @HuffPostLive

And that’s a very wise statement that we should all apply to our lives.

The worst thing you can do to yourself is to not live. When God calls each of us home, how would you say you spent your life? What did you do with all the gifts and talents he gave you? What will your legacy be? How do you want to be remembered – the one who fought and against all odds achieved greatness OR the one who just didn’t do anything because of fear?

You Can Be Set Free is a must read for anyone who truly wants to depart from the status quo and be everything that God created him or her to be.
