Blogging can open mega doors for you.
One of the reasons why I started istartandfinish.com almost eight years ago was because I needed a platform where I could just be me. I used my front end development skills from back in the day as an IT consultant and built the website.
I wanted to place my stamp on it. Brand. Write. Encourage. Speak. Teach. Motivate. Build up faith. I was doing all of them already [and helping people become better] but not in a place that I could call my own. I was determined to own my voice, use my gifts, skills, knowledge and expertise.
In the beginning, I didn’t know how far it would go. All I knew was that I needed to have a place to write messages that would help people get to the next level, be empowered and enjoy this blessed life.
That leap of faith has opened many destiny doors.
How has blogging enhanced my purpose?
- Some of my blog posts have become my frequently requested speaking topics.
- Some people connected with me on social media because of my articles they read or someone forwarded to them.
- A couple of blog posts became catalysts for book titles.
- Blogging led to mentoring and coaching.
- Blogging brought clients.
- Blogging increased visibility of my message that has helped emancipate others.
Blogging has helped me in many ways – professionally and in business. Have you started yours yet?
I have seen many people write powerful posts on Facebook and Instagram yet they do not publish on their website. It is important to diversify platforms, use your voice and grab your piece of cyber land.
What are you doing with your gifts, knowledge and expertise? Have you built your own digital platform? Have you pitched your tent in cyber land yet? Join my private group by signing up here.
Tip: Don’t blog for the sake of blogging or because everyone is doing it. Write with purpose and solve problems (not confuse or contribute to problems).
