How to Get Business Leads You Missed to Sign Up

May 2, 2013 Belinda Enoma Leave a Comment

generate business leads

Imagine this scenario

You had a business lead whom you thought was going to sign the deal. You have invented this agricultural product that keeps harvested potatoes fresh for months.

You put your best foot forward, showcased your product, gave the best presentation you ever did with the great ROI and profit margins. Suddenly, he or she just disappeared.

You are disappointed.

Don’t feel bad. What  did you lose? A lead, not a life. You will have another lead. My take = push forward.

It can be very disappointing when your business leads don’t sign up. Here are two things to do so you don’t miss the opportunity and they don’t walk away.

Ask yourself and answer these questions:

  1. What can I do to make it (the presentation, meeting, product display) better than last time?
  2. What can I do to make sure it (the disappearing act, the lead walking away, the unusual silence) doesn’t happen again?
Answer these questions properly. Practice. Write them down if that helps and see what happens with your next business lead.

Question: Have you ever had a business lead or connection walk away for no reason whatsoever? Maybe it was one of those done-deal job offers or a client who suddenly became silent and unreachable? How did you deal with it?
