Imagine this scenario
You had a business lead whom you thought was going to sign the deal. You have invented this agricultural product that keeps harvested potatoes fresh for months.
You put your best foot forward, showcased your product, gave the best presentation you ever did with the great ROI and profit margins. Suddenly, he or she just disappeared.
You are disappointed.
Don’t feel bad. What did you lose? A lead, not a life. You will have another lead. My take = push forward.
It can be very disappointing when your business leads don’t sign up. Here are two things to do so you don’t miss the opportunity and they don’t walk away.
Ask yourself and answer these questions:
- What can I do to make it (the presentation, meeting, product display) better than last time?
- What can I do to make sure it (the disappearing act, the lead walking away, the unusual silence) doesn’t happen again?
