You are facing a lot of draining demands that are detrimental to your well being, your goals and life achievements.
You don’t want to upset anyone but this constant YES is frustrating you.
Here are three things to note about the power of your NO:
1. When you say NO, you prioritize your destiny.
What do I mean?
It’s good to help others but you have to discern when it becomes detrimental to your health, wellness, future and legacy.
2. Sometimes when you continuously save someone from the mess they deliberately get into, you interfere with their destiny.
Your NO is an emancipation tool.
When you say “no,” it does not mean that you are wicked or selfish.
Some folks who need to go through their own journey without your constant YES.
Sometimes it is in that “wilderness experience” that they receive the clarification, awakening, revelation and liberation they desperately need without human interference.
3. Sometimes the cry for attention is an invitation to a pity-party. Who has time for that?
Your NO means you respect your time and who you are becoming. No more people pleasing and relegating your life’s priorities to the back burner.
Your priorities deserve the front seat now. Don’t allow anyone put pressure on you to do what you don’t want to do or become who God has not called you to be.
How do you say NO without guilt?
- Write a “no” list and include what you will not put up with any longer.
- Just say “NO” and keep it moving.
