The worst kind of discouragement is the kind that occurs within your own camp.
Think about it.
It could happen at your work place, within your team. Maybe you have the idea that will take the project to the next level, but the supposed person calling the shots says: “forget it. It ain’t gonna happen.”
It could happen in your abode – where you lay your head to sleep. Perhaps you have a wonderful idea or strategy that will take the family or even that particular person to another level, and you hear: “please, stop wasting your time. It ain’t gonna happen.”
It could happen within your church group, the same followers of Jesus Christ like you. You suggest something great and instead of encouraging you, they share a long story about bad stuff that happened to people who tried similar things like you want to do and they say: “Oh, I don’t know about that. I’ll be praying for you.” And it ends there.
How about you just keep your ideas to yourself, for a while?
If it is a God-given idea for business or the next step for you to take or what will catapult someone else to the top, God will show you the path to take to make sure that the task is accomplished.
The meaning of the quote in Latin is:
Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces. – Matthew 7:6
In simple English, it means, don’t display your valuables (in this case, your ideas, those golden nuggets) or talk about them to people who don’t appreciate what you are talking about. And it doesn’t even end there – they will destroy whatever strength you have left or desire to proceed, push and win.
You will face disappointments in life, business or even at the workplace but how to stay encouraged especially when surrounded by naysayers is the question. How do you stay encouraged or motivated when people you love , work with daily or even those in your inner circle do not believe in you or your capabilities?
My advice – encourage yourself in the Lord especially when people don’t believe that you can succeed. Stand strong. Head high. God’s got your back. He’s the Master Planner. Seek out His strategies and you will never fail.
Question: When you feel discouraged, how do you encourage yourself?

Very well said! You don’t seek a man’s permission or opinion on what God has revealed to you! You take it and run with it Amen!
Amen!
Silence is golden!
That’s right.
