I watched Miracles from Heaven today and not to give the story away in the movie [because I want you to go and watch it], sitting down in the movie theater, I was reminded of God’s infinite mercies and how all of us are here by His grace.
I am reminded of the song by Housefires, “Good, Good Father” and how God is perfect in all His ways.
Here are my takeaways from Miracles from Heaven, how they can help your faith walk:
1. God gifts us daily with a victorious dawn.
Every day we are blessed to see is a gift.
When we press through the night not knowing the spiritual battles fought on our behalf, the Lord gifts us the dawn and when we wake up, we must thank Him.
2. God has already assigned destiny helpers to your case.
In our times of need, if we can just take that bold step and enter unknown territories, he has appointed people (even strangers, people who do not look like us) to help us carry out the assignment.
Even when our strength is weak and we do not want to be disturbed, He brings on divine disturbance that embodies the kind of peace that is not common to man.
3. Never take your health for granted.
The ability to move your limbs, eat without support and enjoy this blessed life should not be taken for granted.
The best things in life are free. Blinking your eyes does not cost you anything. It is free. Aren’t you thankful right now that your eyelids are not joined together, that you can blink your eyes? I know I am.
4. Do not give up. Do your part and God will do His part.
Faith is the key that lands you on your desired platform. In times of crisis, tears, fear and inexplicable situations, do not give up but persist and believe that God in His infinite mercy will come through.
5. There is a time to cry and there is a time to be still.
It is okay to cry because you just want to let everything out. However, there is a time to not say a word and allow God to take care of the situation.
Sometimes when I want something to happen right away and instant gratification begins to mess with me, I am reminded that if I could only see what God is doing in the spiritual, I would not worry about anything whatsoever in the natural.
In our human capacity, it is not an easy task to dwell in pain and wait for a miracle, but like the movie, miracles from heaven are everywhere. No matter what the situation is, we must trust God.
In a storm, our total reliance and submission to God’s will allows Him to carry out a divine surgical procedure not seen by the human eye.
6. Never cease to thank God daily.
Your life is a gift. It is precious and as long as you are in the land of the living, the fulfillment of your destiny requires you to unceasingly give God thanks for everything and anything.
7. Mothers, don’t give up on your children. Apply daring faith.
A mother’s love, a mother’s instinct is incomparable. As a mother, you just know when something is not right with your child. You must move with daring faith and try everything within your power to make sure everything is fine. Grab those bulls by the horn and fight.
8. Sacrifice and solidarity.
Love people and stand with your family especially in tough times. The family unit is very important. In times of crisis, frustration can make tempers flare. However, knowing when to be quiet and when to talk is crucial. Stand together as one and that includes making a sacrifice because life isn’t all about you.
9. God is present even in the storm.
You are on heaven’s assignment on earth to carry out specific tasks and the enemy will try various ways to halt your destiny but because we have victory at dawn, he will never succeed. Do not allow people’s inconsiderate actions shake your faith.
Miracles from Heaven is a great movie to see with the entire family, church group, work colleagues, friends and everyone. If you haven’t seen it already, don’t hesitate. You will be blessed. Bishop Jakes, DeVon Franklin, Sony Pictures and the entire team, well done! The Beam family, I thank God for your lives and thank you for sharing your story with the world.
