Now and again, it’s important to take stock of life and reflect on what’s happening in and around you or your business. It helps to do this because in the process, you realize how blessed you are and you are motivated to count your blessings and even, name them one by one.
How Do You Take Stock of Your Life?
To take stock, answer these questions (honestly).
- What has worked for you?
- What hasn’t worked for you?
- What have you achieved?
- What haven’t you achieved?
- What annoyed you everyday last year that is still annoying you everyday this year?
- What have you done?
- What haven’t you done?
Hold on to these words: priority + strategy + focus. If you are not where you want to be yet or where you expect to be, don’t lose hope. Prioritize, strategize and focus.
The breakthrough you have been expecting can arrive tomorrow or even tonight. In some situations, you may just have to break through to get to where you want to be.
What do I mean?
Some situations are like pulling teeth – very difficult; tough nut to crack. Sometimes the missing ingredient that you need to make your recipe the most sought after one could be right in front of you but access to it or whoever is in charge of it could just be very difficult. You try hard to reach them or get them to see your point, but it’s like pulling teeth. In situations like these, you must persist to get what you want.
Just don’t give up.
Happy new and improved stock-taking!
