You are not a doormat. Don’t allow someone to walk all over you.
Some people believe that because they helped you out in the past, then you must ‘worship’ them (even at the expense of your faith, sanity or happiness). Yes, BE GRATEFUL but BE YOU!
God can use someone to bless you but it doesn’t mean that you have to be at that person’s beck and call or when they say “jump”, you shout “how high!” Besides, God gets the glory anyway (and not that individual). “..no flesh should glory in His presence” (1 Corinthians 1:29).
LISTEN: Whatever good transpired between you and the person (or people) wasn’t by man-made power (even if they really thought so). God is always in control and ‘even the events that seem accidental are really ordered by Him’ (Proverbs 16:33).
