Some people will tell you that you don’t need a website and you can sell your products or market your services without one. There are different schools of thought.

However, here’s what you should know. Before anyone buys anything from you or signs up for what you offer, they will spend time listening to you (trying to figure out what you are offering), maybe follow you on social media to just check you out.

Relationship building is key to a successful business.

People want to know who you are and what you offer. If you are actively posting on social media, where else can potential clients find you? What happens if your profile gets deleted from Facebook or Instagram and you have a following already?

It is important to diversify your resources as you build your personal brand. Sometimes when you hear about having a website, people think it has to be mega. You can have a one-page website or a 5-page website. There are many strategies to it but be sure to be intentionally visible online for maximum impact.

What should you do next about your personal brand?

Part of building your personal brand is having a digital domain – your own piece of cyberland., your blog, your website. WP Engine has a great promo for website hosting.

This post has affiliate links. It means if you click and purchase a product or service, I will receive a small commission.

Firstly, get a domain name, e.g. yourownname.com for $12/year.

Secondly, sign up for website hosting with WP Engine. When you sign up, you get 4 months free on any WP Engine annual shared plan. You have the option of selecting a monthly or annual plan but you will save more if you do it annually.

Thirdly, ask me how to build your personal brand or website here
